درباره‌ی جایزهی معماری آقاخان
جایزهی معماری آقاخان (AKAA)، در سال ۱۳۵۵ به وجود آمد. هدف از این جایزه، شناسایی و پاداش به مفاهیمی است که در معماری، با توجه به رویکردهایی در طراحی معاصر، مسکن عمومی، مرمت و طراحی دوباره، توسعه و بهبود جامعه، همچنین طراحی منظر و بهبود محیط زیست، می‌توانند پاسخگوی نیازهای جوامع مسلمان باشند.
جایزهی آقاخان در دوره‌های سه ساله اهدا می‌شود و در هر چرخه کمیته‌ی جدیدی برای تعیین معیارهای واجد شرایط بودن پروژه‌ها، با اشاره به نگرانی‌های فعلی و توسعه‌ی برنامه‌هایی برای آینده‌ی بلند مدت، تشکیل می‌شود. این کمیته همچنین مسئولیت سمینارها و بازدیدهای میدانی، مراسم جوایز، انتشارات و نمایشگاه ها را بر عهده دارد.
جایزهی معماری آقاخان ۲۰۲۲
امسال کارخانه آرگو به همراه دو پروژه‌ی ایرانی دیگر از میان ۴۶۳ اثر ارسالی از ۱۶ کشور در فهرست نامزدهای نهایی جایزه معماری آقاخان قرار گرفت و از این فهرست شش پروژه به عنوان برندگان نهایی انتخاب شدند که «کارخانه آرگو»، با طراحی مجدد احمدرضا شریکر (ASA North) ، در میان این برندگان قرار داشت.
