Making, whether a painting or else, is thinking through doing. Just as an orator speaks well that thinks long, a maker’s hands should always be at work. One cannot but always sustain the make. One must devise tools to persevere. Apart from its manifestations and significations in the product, repetition is a way to ceaselessly make.
