Richard Noyce is one of the most influential activists in the field of printing. More than producing limited edition prints, he produces panel discussions and writes about printing as an artistic medium. In his writings, he tries to introduce printing as a medium of Visual Arts.
Tarlan Rafiee is curator and the co-founder of KA:V Editions. She established this studio with the aim of collecting printed collections with limited edition prints from modern and contemporary Iranian artists. She has brought these collections to many museums, including the British Museum and LACMA Museum, setting a new standard for this field of art.
Ali Bakhtiari, curator and collector, is an expert in the field of printed works.
In this panel discussion, moderated by Yashar Samimi Mofakhm, panelists will talk about the unique features of printing and its position amongst other mediums of art, the role of institutions, museums and galleries to promote the production and presence of paper copies in the art market, and the contemporary history of printing in Iran.
