ABOUT WILLEM DE ROOJI
Willem de Rooij (*1969 Beverwijk/Netherlands) lives and works in Berlin. Central in his work is the selection and combinations of images in a variety of different media, ranging from sculpture to photography, film and texts. Recent solo exhibitions include “Whiteout” at KW Berlin, “Ebb rains” at Institute of Modern Art, Brisbane, “Entitled” at MMK2, Frankfurt am Main (2016), “The Impassioned No” at Le Consortium, Dijon (2015), “Character is Fate” at Witte de With, Rotterdam (2015), “Untilted” at Kunstverein München, Munich (2012), “Crazy Repelled Firelight” at Friedrich Petzel Gallery, New York (2011) and “Intolerance” at Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin (2010).
